Kate walked into their bedroom, hair dripping onto her creamy bathrobe. She saw someone led on their bed, it was not a surprise she knew exactly who it was it was the supposed love of her life, Jonathan.
"Who's looking gorgeous!" he smiled
Kate blushed, whenever he said this she felt like she had to show some kind of emotion. The truth was she really had no emotion for this dirt bag that had previously cheated on her sister! But as per usual, Kate the softest and kindest girl around was taken in by his charm, which had some-what-worn-off.
"Want to have some fun" he sniggered.
"I'm tired, sorry not now, I don't feel very well" this was a complete and utter lie she had never felt better, picturing herself in the shower with the one and only Anthony DiNozzo. She had deep feelings for him, she loved him and it couldn't possibly get much deeper than that!
"Come on Katie, you know what happens if you don't play my rules"
She looked at the bruises on her wrists, she remembered that horrible night when she had refused to have sex with him and he tied her to the bed and helped himself to what he wanted. She wished Tony had been there, he would straighten him out. But she couldn't tell him, it would never happen, never!
The abuse carried on for several months in their relationship which had lasted for 11 months. It would be an exact year on Friday and she knew it was going to be the worst night of her life.


WEDNESDAY

Kate got up and walked into the shower room. Jonathan was in their, he had only a towel on. She turned to walk out as she saw his terrifying grey eyes, they pierced her vision. He ran up to her and turned her around. He kissed her roughly, pressing his body against hers, then he slowly slid his hand down her trousers and played with her, he liked to play games with her. She shivered in disgust.
"Its okay Katie!" he laughed.
He threw her of to his side; she bashed her head against the cabinet and sliced her back on the towel rail. She could feel the blood running down her back; she didn't think of it as blood only as Jonathan, this is what happened around Jonathan.
After she had cleaned up the mess in the bathroom and cleaned her cuts (with great difficulty) she had got ready and left in a hurry before she saw Jonathan again. She had had enough of him for one day.

She walked into the office; Tony already sat at his desk in the bullpen. She saw him and smiled as he threw mini biscuits in the air and caught them in his mouth.
"No peanuts today Tony?" she smiled.
"Kate do you think I am the kind of person who eats peanuts at eight in the morning"
"YES!!"
"Hell ye Kate!" he laughed "I ran out"
"She saw some muffins and coffee on her desk.
"Thanks Tony" He smiled at her.

*at the end of work*

She got a lift home with Tony tonight because she put in her car for annual service. She shut the door after she had thanked Tony and hugged him friendly, she wished it could have been more than friendly. She managed to pull away before she suffocated him and turned around. He was there; Jonathan had seen her hugging another man. He looked fuming. She mimed to Tony "Please don't leave me!"
He was suspicious. He turned around and parked outside the other house so he could see through the window but they couldn't see him. Kate undid the curtains as she knew Tony would be watching or at least she had prayed he was.
"Who the hell was that Katie!" he shouted
"A work mate"
"THAT WAS MORE THAN A WORK MATE!"
He grabbed her and threw across the room she hit the window.
Tony saw. He was horrified, why hadn't she said anything before. He went to the door and kicked it open. "KATE!" Tony yelled." Jonathan, let her go NOW!"
"Look lover boy I asked her to marry me last week were engaged, leave it out and go home ok, she's my property now.
Tony's heart sank, Kate was getting married and she obviously didn't want it. But she is engaged and he cannot do anything to help her in this relationship. Who the hell is he kidding!
"LET HER GO!!"
"Uh ….no!" he teased. He grabbed a scarf and held it around Kate's neck.
"Don't, let her go!"
Tony reached for his gun "Don't try anything RIGHT!!" yelled Jonathan.
Jonathan tied up Kate to the chair and gagged her.
"Your turn, Tony isn't it?" Tony fought but Jonathan was strong.
Jonathan tied up Tony in the same way and dragged him into the bedroom and tied him to the chair in the corner by the cabinet. Tony then saw him carry in Kate and led her on the bed. He started to take of his shirt and pants the he took of his boxers. Tony was horrified as he well knew Kate was about to raped right in front of her working partner. Tony shivered with horror as he watched; Jonathan fiercely thrust himself in and out of Kate's body. Every time she flinched, she tried to numb herself but it did not work, she felt pure humiliation. If she had left the relationship this never would have happened and Tony wouldn't be in this mess.
He finished. He slowly injected Kate with something. Tony rammed and bashed the chair he needed to save her and quick. It was no use he may as well have been chained to the chair, he could not get out. But he needed to he needed to save Kate. He loved her so much.

THURSAY


All they remember is waking up together both on the bed, Jonathan gone, all of his stuff gone, Kate's engagement ring gone.
Tony and Kate were untied led on the bed together staring each other face in face. Tony leant over a kissed her softly on the head, careful not to be too sudden or rough. She returned the favour by kissing him back, on the lips this time but with just as much meaning. The brushed tongues slightly. Kate pulled away slowly stroking Tony's hair gently. She had wanted to express her feelings for him since she started work at ncis. Rule twelve stood there, unmoving, like a giant iron gate between Kate and Tony. She could see him, he could see her but they couldn't be together. She had thought about a family and kids with a guy like Tony. He was caring, handsome, good worker, loving and she was sire he would make a good father, she was positive.

Tony's cell started to ring.
"Ye boss!" he said reading the caller ID.
"DINOZZO WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!?" he shouted.
"Hey boss, I'm with Kate!" he whispered walking out of the room.
10 minutes later
"Kate were gonna catch Jonathan, okay?" he softly ran his fingers through her hair "Come on."
He took her hand and helped of the bed.
"Tony, my head really hurts" she sobbed.
"Its okay now, I'm gonna get you checked out."
He put on his new chocolate brown tie to match his jacket and then he walked out of the room to allow Kate to get dressed.
He loved her so much he just wanted to kill that bastard, and now!

"What the hell have I just done!" Kate thought, she basically just been raped then made out with Tony! I mean what the hell was that all about! What had she done! Questions ran though Kate's mind like Olympic runners on the track. She had been raped. She was furious with herself it had all happened so quickly!
"Would you like a lift to the hospital, I booked you in for an appointment at well 15 minutes from now!" he said in a hurry.
"Uh…" she hesitated "no it's ok; ill take my car see you at work!"
"Kate are you ok?"
"Just because I don't want a lift doesn't mean I'm not ok!" she snapped.
She grabbed her keys and left, without speaking another word to Tony.
He left shortly after, stunned at Kates sudden "Bitchy" behaviour. He understood though, she had just been abused, she needed some time to her self and he was willing to give it to her.


"Tony hows Kate?" abbey shouted questionably.
"Shes very, well abbey what do you think?" he sighed
"Sorry, where is she now?"
"At the hospital getting her head checked out, that Jonathan threw her pretty hard into the window!"
"I hope shes ok im gonna go see her tonight with McGee"
"Maybe she needs some time to adjust Abs."
"I s'pose your'e right, ill go see her tomorrow!"


Tony sat down at his desk in the bullpen sighing at the huge, terrifying looking pile of files. Tony hated files, he much preferred the onsite case work, I suppose you could say the more practical view of the job. "Damn!" he crossed out his spelling for difficulty for the second time making the same mistake twice. His mind was on Kate, how was she, what had the doctor said? Damn it Tony, it's all youre fault if you had been there!!


"DiNozzo, its not your fault!" said Gibbs looking at him sternly.
"Boss….. How the hell…"
"Its part of my job, to read what my people are thinking, that's why im best at my job, well that and being a bastard!" he smiled.
He sat down at his desk and sipped his coffee.

Tony felt it was his duty to check on Kate. He rang the number for the doctors.
"Hello, has a Miss Caitlyn Todd checked in for her examination?" he asked.
" No she has not yet arrived" the receptionist said.
Tony hung up. She was due to her appointment nearly 45 minutes ago. Where the hell was she?!


Tony packed up his stuff, the files could wait, Kate could not. With permission from Gibbs he left the Bullpen silently as fast as he could.

He arrived at Kate House. The door was wide open.
"Oh NO!!" he shouted. He walked in, Kate was led on her bed crying.
"It's ok Kate im here now!" he sighed.

Kate was curled up in a ball, motionless on the bed. The sheets patterned and crumpled around her. The bedroom looked like a bombsite yet she looked so peaceful.

Immediately Tony thought the worst.

"No Kate, cant be dead" He thought, he reassured.

He ran over to her, supporting his gun in its holster. He stroked her hair as he knelt beside the bed she was lying on. As soon as his fingers delicately smoothed her hair, she seemed to almost jump out her skin. He was closer now; he could see her tear stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes.

"He came back" She whispered almost unbearably. "He said he has people who can deal wit me if we take it further."

"KATE!" Shouted a brown haired woman, she looked enough like Kate to be her sister. She ran over with a brown handbag in one hand and a pair of sunglasses is the other. Her eyes were crystal blue which contrasted to he deep chocolate brown of her eye makeup. She was very beautiful in Tony's opinion.

"Tony" Kate sighed.
"oh, right" Said Tony immediately taking his eyes of the other woman.

She bent over the bed and scooped Kate up I her arms.

"Are you ok?! What's happened?!"
"Jess, its Jonathan!"

She shivered at the sound of his name, "What was that bastard doing here" She asked casually.

"SHE DIDN'T KNOW?!" Tony mouthed behind her so she couldn't see him.

Kate looked nervous all of a sudden, she looked as if she was going to be sick quite violently all over the woman in front of her.

"We … we…" she stuttered.

"We…well spit it out!"

"We…were." She looked at Tony for help, but he stood back with a look of surprise on his face.

"You were …?" Jess asked


"Engaged" Kate yelled looking even sicker, she ran to the bathroom. The Sounds of her throwing up the little breakfast she had we quietened by Tony closing the door behind her.

"I take it you're Kate's sister." Tony sighed.

Jess had a look of mixed horror and surprise on her face.

"Yes. Why the hell would she get herself involved with…"
She started to sob, Ton lifted her up and wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm sure she knew what she was doing."

He patted her awkwardly on the top of the head, trying to smooth down a piece of hair that was annoying him.

"Yea, she always has her way with men" she laughed sarcastically. "Even though you seem to be alot nicer than her other boyfriends"

"Oh me and Kate .. we're just friends ... Co workers" He stuttered.

"Shame, you two make a cute couple" She smiled.
