CHAPTER 4:
Abby had been spending a lot of time in her lab, some would say more than usual but it was for a reason. She had finally realised that the only way to have McGee to herself is to get rid of Ziva and she knew just the way to do it.
McGee had been sleeping for just over an hour, Ziva was still awake she had waited for him to fall asleep before getting up and taking a shower, she read over the case file for the millionth time and still came up with nothing. There had been no clues and no suspects she was beginning to think this was a waste of time.
"Anyone there?" Ziva whispered
"I'm here Officer David" Gibbs said almost groggily
"I'm not liking this boss, nothing is jumping out at you" Ziva said
"Me Ziva" Gibbs said
"I know I said you" Ziva said trying to stay quiet
"Its me not, never mind" Gibbs was not going to go into this one "get some sleep"
"Yes boss" Ziva said taking the earwig out and turning her bedside light off
Abby had not left her lab in days, she had only ever left to go to the bathroom and take a shower which she did in the building so she was never very far from the 24 hour live footage of the case. Tony entered her lab to find her asleep on her keyboard and letters being typed across the screen at a rate of knots. He placed his hand on her shoulder and she jumped into action.
"Did I miss anything?" She said looking desperately at the screen showing McGee and Ziva in bed, McGee was sleeping and Ziva was just laying there facing McGee.
"No, Ziva just spoke to Gibbs but still nothing" Tony said moving towards the plasma
"Do you see that?" Abby asked looking angry
"See what Abs?" Tony asked squinting but still seeing nothing
"Her!!!" Abby said pointing her finger into the screen showing Ziva
"What have you got against Ziva?"
"She wants McGee!" Abby said crossing her arms angrily
"You gotta be kidding me abs" Tony said laughing
"You think this is funny?" Abby asked approaching him
"Well yeah, look at him, she would never go for" Tony said but was interrupted by an Abby arm punch
"For a geek, smart ass, probie?" Abby said not looking happy "Get out!"
"Abs I'm" Tony said being ushered out
"Save it Tony" Abby said throwing him out of her lab and locking the door so that no one can come in.
Tony made his way to MTAC, Gibbs had gone for coffee and Ziva was still awake. Tony picked up the headset and began to shout to get her attention.
"Ziva, Ziva" Tony shouted "Zi-va"
"What?" Ziva said angrily whispering
"We got a problem" Tony said
"What is it?" Ziva asked
"Abby thinks you are after McGee" Tony said leaning back in the chair
"And you don't" She said winking as Tony falls over his chair with a loud thump
"Goodnight Tony" She says putting the headset under her pillow and reaching over to McGee and putting her arm around him "Lets see how jealous she can get, its for your own good Abby"
