Gibbs slowly rocks his little girl to sleep. He kisses her head and lays her down in her cot, tucks her in and gives her one last kiss. He stands up and looks at the peaceful girl.

He can’t believe he is here staring down into his daughter’s cot watching her sleep. He had fought so hard to get here and he isn’t going to let anyone take his family away from not this time.

He reaches down and strokes her chubby cheek gently. She has her mother’s dark locks, his deep blue eyes and the most angelic smile he has ever seen. He can not explain the love he feels for his daughter, not even for his wife. Words are just enough.

“ I will give you the world” he whispers.
“ And she will gladly take it” a soothing voice said behind him. He smiles and turns around wrapping his arms around his wife.
“ She’s going to be just like you” he says kissing her cheek. She chuckles.
“ I hope so. We don’t want her to have your temper” she said placing a gentle kiss to his lips.
“ Katie you know I have been better since we had Sophie” he defended himself. Kate nods and kisses him again.
“ I love you” she whispers against his lips.
“ I love you, both of you” he replies and looks back down at his sleeping baby. Kate smiles at the love she sees in his eyes. He leans back down and kisses her forehead.
“ You’re the better part of me” he whispers.
