She had known immediately from looking at him that something was terribly, horribly wrong… but she didn’t know what it was. She just knew that something had happened that had utterly destroyed him. She had gone to him immediately, wrapping him in a hug without even knowing why, and when he pressed his face into her shoulder and began to weep, he had only been able to say one word. And Abby wept with him. *sniff* I loved Kate correcting Tony on the girl's name, that was hilarious. Their banter, well Kate's anyway seeing as Tony was a bit blindsided, was perfection. McGee toasting to her memory was so sweet and so him. And awwww poor Gibbs...

I actually wasn't looking for a fic at all, never mind a .tony angst one. I was looking for details of the ski suit Halloween debacle, and yours was the first page that came up. And you know what? You only made me frigging cry. I really loved that Tony made the coffee to remind him Gibbs had his six, I just adored that Gibbs wanted to take him trick or treating, and Gibbs turning up with the pizza etc then staying in the spare room was just adorable and the last straw, I got all teary, especially with the unspoken thanks for staying, Dad. In short, really good job. I like Tony a lot but he's not my favourite character, and I certainly don't search out Tony!whump, so to move me so much when I stumbled on this basically by accident... Yeah. Really good job,
